Growing up , my mom would plant gladiolus along the fence behind the pool.  The beautiful, bloom-filled stems in various hues served as a colorful backdrop for the many gatherings we had around the pool.  I still see them in my memories.  Of course, an occational glance at some old photos refreshes the image!  The clock in this painting has been in my family for over 26 years.  It was a gift to my dad from mom and was given on the day my husband proposed.  Special.  Timeless...
